Panini Peek: 2013-14 Prizm Hockey

Following an impressive bonus-pack preview appearance in 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockeyearlier this summer, Panini America’s profusely popular Prizm technology is primed and ready to make its first standalone skate in the NHL. And when the product arrives in late September, it will do so equipped with two autographs, at least two Prizm parallels and 20 Rookie Cards in every 20-pack hobby box.
In addition to the many bells and whistles that collectors have come to know and love about the Prizm brand (low-numbered, multicolored Prizm-tastic parallels) 2013-14 Prizm Hockey will feature Panini America’s continued tribute to the massive Double Rookie Class and the stunning Immortalized die-cut insert that honors past Stanley Cup champions.

Anthony Davis. Harrison Barnes. Bradley Beal. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. David Robinson. Steve Nash. That’s the short list of men whose collection-making National Treasures cornerstones are, as we speak, on their way to the Panini America production facility to be introduced into the packout process; that process begins in earnest tomorrow.

Over the course of the last several days, the Panini America NBA Product Development Team has transformed the company's printing facility across town into a bona fide hoops heaven. Between the pre-packout process for 2012-13 National Treasures Basketball and actually packing out 2012-13 Signatures Basketball, the team has no doubt handled -- with gloves on, I might add -- some of the most influential cards of the entire 2012-13 collecting season.

Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks One Jumbo Box of 2013-14 Score Hockey
Yes, we know that the official release date for the highly anticipated 2013-14 Score Hockey Hobby Jumbo product doesn't arrive until next Wednesday. But you can't really present us with a box 10 days early and expect us not to open it. After all, Panini America fans and readers of The Knight's Lance crave nothing more than the earliest possible sneak peeks -- and that's exactly what we intend to give you right now.
